Problem: Annekah (3 min)

-CAPSA is the only shelter for domestic violence in Cache Valley and it’s a growing problem. Different types of donations needed.
-CAPSA provides a full service shelter as well as providing numerous items for those trying to get out of their situation.
-CAPSA needs donations from locals including cell phones, deodorant, clothes, quilts, baby food and more. List is on the website.

Event: Leilani (5 min)

-April 11, 2009 Ellis Elementary Park starting 9 a.m.
-Lunch, easter egg hunt, games

Hi, my name is Annekah Martinez. I am 20 years old and though I was born in Valencia, Spain I like to call Sandy, Utah home. I am the oldest of seven kids, two boys and five girls.

I am currently a student attending Utah State University. My major is Public Relations and my minor is Marketing. I hope to go on to gaining my Masters Degree after I graduate from Utah State.

My interests include photography, reading and traveling. I hope one day to be able to travel the world doing humanitarian projects.

I used the lasso tool around my family. I then lightened our family. On the background I used the burn tool. I then desaturated the background. I used an eraser around my family to soften the edges and used opacity on the background to blend the blur better.

This is the first picture I enhanced using photoshop. I copied the background and then desaturated the copy. Once I did that I used the lasso tool to cut out the flowers so they were still in color. I then used the saturation/hue option on the flowers to make the colors more bright and vibrant. After that I used the burn tool on the clouds to make them a little darker and see the contrast. The last step was to blur the background so the flowers popped out more.
